Young Actors’ Workshop

Programming for our Children’s Theatre includes our Young Actor’s Workshop sessions directed by Dolly Workman. The classes teach Drama and Musical Theatre to children in 2nd through 12th grade.

In addition, Audition Classes prepare “School of The Arts” candidates for their auditions, for which Private Lessons are available.

Training Overview

Drama Program:

Miss Dolly created this program, not only to teach the craft of acting, but also to empower children with confidence and social skills. Students will be trained in classical theatre techniques. From basic improvisation, mime, scene study, voice/projection, theatre games, and cold readings to speech and relaxation exercises, your child will explore the world of acting using these techniques as tools.

Musical Theatre Program:

Led by Broadway veteran and Director of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Touring Company, Brian Andrews, this program will instruct students in the essentials of song and dance performance. Participants will study all aspects of musical theatre, including singing, song-phrasing, interpretation, rhythm, choreography, and using the whole body as an instrument.
