The Musicals of Bob Fosse

Dec. 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2017

A celebration of one of the most innovative and brilliant directors and choreographers in the history of American Musical Theatre!

One of the most innovative and brilliant directors and choreographers in the history of the American Musical Theatre, Bob Fosse, created a style of dance and a conceptual approach to staging that remain uniquely his own. After making his Broadway debut as a choreographer for The Pajama Game, he went in to create a succession of hit shows including Damn Yankees, Bells Are Ringing, Little Me, How To Succeed In Business, Pippin, Sweet Charity and Chicago.

By the end of the 1970’s, he had become such an iconic figure that Hollywood invited him to make an autobiographical film about his own life called All That Jazz. In 1999, Broadway paid him the ultimate tribute by creating a musical revue simply called Fosse featuring recreations of some of his greatest dance numbers, such as “Steam Heat”, “Whatever Lola Wants”, “Hernando’s Hideaway”, “I’ve Got Your Number”“Razzle Dazzle” and “All I Care About (Is Love)”.
