A Musical by Dorothy Fields & Herbert Fields

Music and Lyrics by Irving Berlin

December 1 – 17, 2017

One of the best-loved musicals in the history of American Musical Theatre!

Irving Berlin’s classic musical about Annie Oakley (the world’s foremost female sharp-shooter) and Frank Butler (the star of Buffalo Bill Cody’s famous traveling Wild West Show) remains one of the best-loved musicals in the history of the American Musical Theatre.

Annie Get Your Gun was the first show that America’s greatest living songwriter wrote for Ethel Merman (The First Lady of the Broadway Musical Stage) and the result was a musical masterpiece! The story of the unlikely romance between an illiterate backwoods hillbilly and a chauvinistic “swollen-headed stiff” who gradually fall in love as they work together in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show was transformed into pure gold in Irving Berlin’s greatest score, a score that includes such Broadway standards as “You Can’t Get a Man With a Gun”,“Doing What Comes Naturally”, “I Got Lost in his Arms”, “They Say it’s Wonderful”, and the show-stopping duet, “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)”. The score also includes Irving Berlin’s great Broadway anthem, “There’s No Business Like Show Business!”
