The Songs of Stephen Schwartz

Feb. 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22, 2018

A celebration of one of the most renowned creators of some of the most popular musicals in the history of the American Theatre!

In a career that now spans over four decades, Stephen Schwartz has created some of the most popular musicals in the history of the American Theatre, from the innovative Godspell to the high-flying Broadway spectacular, Wicked. After writing a series of highly praised stage musicals like The Baker’s Wife, Rags and Pippin, he was chosen by the Disney Corporation to create scores for such popular animated (and live-action) films as Pocahontas, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame and Enchanted (scores that have earned him three Academy Awards).

In addition to his work on stage and film, he also wrote lyrics for Leonard Bernstein’s Mass. His songs include “Magic to Do!”, “Day by Day”, “God Bless the Outcasts”, “Corner of the Sky”, “So Close”, “That’s How You Know”, “Colors of the Wind” and “Popular”.
