No composer on Broadway has given audiences more pleasure in the past 60 years than Jerry Herman! From his earliest review in Greenwich Village in 1954 to the recent record-breaking revival of HELLO, DOLLY! starring Bette Midler, Jerry Herman has kept American audiences smiling, swaying and singing along! His first show (MILK AND HONEY) was successful, but his second (HELLO, DOLLY!) was a phenomenon, becoming the longest-running musical of its time! Later, Jerry had comparable successes with MAME and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Many of his songs have become popular standards and cabaret favorites, songs like “Shalom” (MILK AND HONEY), “It Only Takes a Moment” (HELLO, DOLLY!), “If He Walked into My Life” (MAME) and “The Best of Times” (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES). It’s not surprising that Alan Jay Lerner called Jerry Herman “The Irving Berlin of our generation!”

If you love Broadway musicals, you will love Jerry Herman’s show tunes!
