Along with convincing, high-energy portrayals of the characters and comedy of Barbra Streisand, Joy Altman also provides top-notch emotional delivery of the notes and lyrics, truly invoking the impeccable vocal control and unique style of Streisand, leaving audiences excited, moved and mesmerized! About Joy Altman: 

Broadway productions, regionally and nationally, and has a wealth of performing experience headlining shows for hotels, arenas, casinos, cruise ships, country clubs, and making guest appearances for private and public events, locally and nationally. With her more than two decades of live performing experience, Joy is a dynamic, seasoned, dazzling performance artist. In addition to showcasing the brilliant, colorful tones, long languorous notes, emotional and delicate phrasing of Barbra Streisand, Joy also embodies great comedic timing, character creation, story- telling, and strong acting abilities. Her theatrical experience blends together perfectly with her incomparable vocal talents, skills and ability, allowing Joy to brilliantly re-create the characters made famous by Streisand in her film and stage career. Like Barbra, Joy is originally from Brooklyn, NY. Discovered by a professional jingle writer/ composer at age 9, she worked and performed in the studio, recording voice-
overs, characters and jingles for educational series, TV and radio spots. Joy went on to study acting at AADA and movement at AMS in New York City. She also continued fronting, lead singing and headlining shows locally and nationally for various production companies in New York, and eventually, in Florida, while still continuing to earn and perform character roles in live musical theater productions nationwide.
