A MESSAGE ON COVID-19 — UPDATED ON MARCH 30, 2020 AT 1:30 PM
To Our Loyal Patrons,
The Delray Beach Playhouse has been a dedicated member of the community for over 70 years and we value our patron’s health and safety more than anything else. We have been staying up-to-date with the public health advisories on the coronavirus (COVID-19) as they have shifted from containment to the current recommendations on social distancing and elimination of mass gatherings.
As a result of this this latest information, The Delray Beach Board of Governors has made the decision to reschedule the upcoming plays, Stage Struck and Steel Magnolias, and all Musical Memories performances of Put On A Happy Face and Swinging on A Star, while health officials manage the impact of COVID-19 in our community.
We understand the disappointment and inconvenience to our patrons and are pleased to credit tickets for these shows to the rescheduled performances, or if you cannot make it, apply the value to any future show, including those in our 2020-2021 season. Ticketholders may also choose to make a tax-deductible donation of the value of the tickets to support the Playhouse and its many community theater programs.
We remain committed to our artists, loyal patrons, staff and fellow community members. *Due to closure by the County as of March 17, the Playhouse is currently closed until further notice, but our Box Office staff is working remotely to answer any questions and concerns and will be calling all patrons over the next two weeks to reschedule.
Jay Alperin, President, Delray Beach Board of Governors
Kevin Barrett, Executive Director, Delray Beach Playhouse
