FEELIN’ GROOVY MUSICAL LECTURE SERIES: THE LIFE AND SONG OF PETE SEEGER

December 5, 2023 @ 2:00 PM

SINGLE TICKETS ON SALE!
TICKETS: $35

Pete Seeger honed his banjo skills while traveling in Appalachia and became the most stalwart of American troubadours for social justice, peace, and the environment, together with his wife, Toshi. He founded such iconic groups as the Almanac Singers and the Weavers, and continued to entertain and rally crowds around their causes after others of his generation had long since faded away. Seeger, known for “If I Had a Hammer,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” andTurn Turn Turn,” withstood the McCarthy communist witch hunt and being blacklisted for 19 years, and continued singing for causes until his death in March 2014 at age 94. The PinkSlip Duo sings his songs and tells his inspiring story with slides and lyrics for sing-along.
