Part-Time Box-Office Representative
Summary 
This role will focus on providing exemplary customer service to all patrons of Delray Beach Playhouse by performing individual ticket sales and customer assistance both over the phone and in person. Works closely with and supervised by the Box Office Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
-Sell tickets and season subscriptions in person at the box office and over the phone.
-Determine and collect appropriate fees, guide patron decisions and issue tickets.
-Process and verify credit card purchases.
-Provide customer service to patrons with ticketing issues, including lost, stolen, or damaged tickets.
-Monitor and process advanced ticket orders.
-Answer box office telephone and respond to customer questions regarding events, ticket operations, and assist patrons in finding seat locations on seating diagrams.
-Be Well-versed on all Delray Beach Playhouse offerings.
-Operate Wintix6 ticketing system.
-Stay current on events scheduled for the theatre.
-All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school degree or GED required.
-One year of customer service, ticket sales, or clerical related work experience.
-Experience working with large cash volume is preferred.
-Computerized ticketing experience is a plus, but not required..
-Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, Google suite and other related computer skills required.
-Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
-Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
-Strong sense of team and ability to work collaboratively with others
-Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and build strong interpersonal relationships.
-Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
-Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the company.
-Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and occasional holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Ability to stand and move around the office and theatre for extended periods of time as needed.
-Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

 

Audio Technician Position
Summary

Reporting to the Technical Director, this position works as part of the production
team to create audio designed for the needs of each production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Programming / operating audio playback systems and mixing for all
technical rehearsals and performances.
– Assisting with plot preparation and equipment maintenance.
– System/equipment troubleshooting and repair if/when needed.
– Collaborate with other technicians to setup and strike audio equipment per event.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– 3 or more years experience as a sound engineer is highly desirable.
– Familiarity with Dante and Wireless Workbench.
– Working knowledge of Allen&Heath consoles and MixPad software.
– Experienced with QLab.
– Fluency with Mac, PC, audio programs, and technology.
– Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to detail as well as excellent
organizational skills.
– Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and solve practical problems and resolve issues.
– Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.

*This is a part time over hire position that can average over 30 hours per week during season, rate
of pay is competitive, based on experience.

 

Carpenter Position

Summary
Reporting to the Technical Director, this position works as part of the production
team to create scenery designed for the needs of each production.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist in building and finish work of platforms and set pieces
● Verify all projects are built in accordance with designer drawings
● Consult with Technical Director on safety regulations, priorities, procedures and protocols
● Assists with repairs of stock inventory, showing high quality standards
● Ensures all tools and supplies are accounted for and properly stored and maintained
● Constructs other projects as assigned within reasonable scope

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 
● 3 or more years of professional experience in scenic construction; frame and finish carpentry,
basic metal working, stage rigging. Knowledge of theatrical procedures used in scenic
construction is a must.
● Proficiency in reading and understanding design plates and elevations, MUST be able to read
scale rule
● Working knowledge of all basic shop tools
● Understanding of basic electronics and soldering
● Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, work in difficult to access locations,
and stand for long amounts of time
● Strong work ethic to complete projects within a deadline
● Being a self-starter is a must

of pay is competitive, based on experience.

 

Lighting Technician Position
Summary
Reporting to the Technical Director, this position works as part of the production
team to create lighting designed for the needs of each production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Assist designers in the design of the light plot and all electrical elements of production.
– Responsible for the safe and efficient set-up and take-down of lighting per show.
– Run the lighting board during rehearsals and performances.
– Keep inventory of lighting equipment.
– Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
– Ability to work at heights.
– Other duties related to lighting as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– 3 or more years of lighting experience in a theatrical setting.
– Friendly and professional attitude, able to work on schedule and under pressure.
– Ability to read, understand, and execute technical drawings and paperwork.
– Ability to hang, circuit, focus, and troubleshoot theatrical lighting fixtures; basic knowledge of
rigging and mounting techniques.
– Must have an understanding of ETC family consoles.
