Meri Ziev & John Lariviere present a loving tribute to Burt Bacharach filled with themes of friendship and love (“That’s What Friends are For”), heartbreak and humanity (“A House is Not a Home”), the journeys we enjoy (“Do You Know the Way to San Jose”), the beautiful music of Burt Bacharach is certainly “What the World Needs Now”! John Lariviere and Meri Ziev will present a powerful program filled with Mr. Bacharach’s innovative arrangements and signature style, accompanied skillfully by music director Phil Hinton.

About JOHN LARIVIERE
A cabaret, concert and jazz singer who specializes in music from Broadway and the Great American Songbook, John regularly appears at theatres and clubs throughout Florida. A 2022 Broadway World Regional Award Nominee for Best Cabaret Performance for his show “You’re the Top – The Songs of Cole Porter”, and a 2020 Broadway World Regional Award Nominee for “Top Vocalist of the Decade” for the greater Miami area, he was aptly named “a voice of the gods” by Cabaret Scenes Magazine. He has been brought back by popular demand five years in a row, to sold-out crowds, at the prestigious Florida Cabaret Festival and has headlined at venues such as The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, The Mizner Park Cultural Center, The Venice Theatre, The Delray Beach Playhouse and The Plaza Theatre.  About MERI ZIEV
 Her passion for promoting human connections and for the universal language of music, synthesized perfectly with her previous career as a speech-language pathologist.  Ziev, a versatile vocalist, is equally at ease and highly acclaimed in cabaret-style shows, jazz gigs, and performing with the Pops Orchestra of the Palm Beaches.  Jeff Harnar, Multiple Award-Winning New York Cabaret Performer, Director, Concert and Recording Artist says, “Meri Ziev has golden pipes and is a compelling storyteller…heartfelt and full of surprises.”  She has performed in NYC (Don’t Tell Mama, The Laurie Beachman, Pangea, Birdland), Chicago (Davenports), St. Louis (Kranzberg Arts Center & Jazz at the Bistro), Sterling Events Center in Austin, TX, and various venues in FL including The Arts Garage in Delray Beach and major condominium clubhouse theatres.  Meri Ziev is the co-founder of the South Florida Cabaret Singers community.  Her recordings have been broadcast on Legends Radio, Everything Old is New Again Radio, and The Jazz Lounge – out of Scotland!  With philanthropy dear to her heart, Ziev has performed at galas and charity events including Lighthouse for the Blind, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and the Broward Art Guild.  www.meriziev.com
