Forbidden Love: The Love Story of Bobby Darin & Connie Francis
January 8, 2027 @ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Tickets starting at $69
A mini-musical about the tragic, untold love story of Bobby Darin and Connie Francis.
FORBIDDEN LOVE tells the tale of the tragic love story of two Italian American music icons, Bobby Darin and Connie Francis, featuring storytelling, dialogue and all of their greatest hits with Broadway quality musicians and performance. Vanessa Racci plays Connie and Charlie Romo plays Bobby. The show previewed on ABC7NY in 2021, made its public NYC debut at Green Room 42 in 2023 and sold out Yorktown Stage Performing Arts Center in Oct, 2024.
“Both Vanessa and Charlie are strong performers and instead of doing an imitation of Bobby and Connie, they sang and cleverly weaved the story in their own style and drew the audience into the relationship between the two stars. This mini jukebox show would make a wonderful stage musical and Vanessa and Charlie could take it to great heights.” -Magda Katz Times Square Chronicles ’23
“Together, these two vocalists, with a penchant for the vintage, have created a program titled FORBIDDEN LOVE: THE LOVE STORY OF BOBBY DARIN & CONNIE FRANCIS that allows them to show off superb vocals and their love for the two star-crossed lovers of their idolatry.” – Stephen Mosher, Broadway World ’23
